Busday gets busier with mobile

More projects on :

• Helping consumers to take the bus on ‘Busday’ which is held 4th of every month through utilities, promotions and reinforcement of value. • The solution is aimed at reaching the target audience (working men and women) effectively at corporate locations, hangout locations and existing public transport hubs. • Paperless engagements and promotional activities were conceptualized and developed that motivated consumers to use public transport.

What we deliver

• The ‘Mobile Bus Guide’ delivered to consumers acts as a useful utility application to travel with. • Bus guide included Route Guide, Location Trivia and common interest messages. • Further the application powered the commuters to interact and invite others on social media networking sites like Facebook/Twitter.

Whom we deliver

Consumers/Commuters at bus terminals, Volvo buses and corporate hangout locations • More than 1, 20,255 users have downloaded the utility in past 5 months. • More than 12% of the commuters receiving the application have travelled in the bus multiple times. • More than 9000 users have referred the activity to their friends with several of them giving right feedback to improve the Service. • Service has been deployed in major transport hubs and 124 hangout locations across Bangalore.

Why is the project unique?

• World’s first campaign that used location based messaging to increase consumer awareness • The project is unique as the utility app enabled the user to get bus routes and timing instantly on their phones. • It also enabled the users to popularize the initiative by sharing it on social networking sites.

Contextual information and innovative engagements can help consumers become more conscious of the environment and society
