The DGFP Supply Chain Information Portal is a web portal developed by the Strengthening Pharmaceutical Systems (SPS) Program supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW), Bangladesh. The web portal came operational in 2006 and have been supporting in data consolidation, reporting & decision making. Central, regional & upazila level relevant officials of DGFP enter procurement & logistics data in the portal and one of the key features in the portal is dashboard which presents charts, maps & tables for decision makers. The portal is unique in terms of information management in the public sector. This Portal helps to ensure contraceptives availability in upazila & field level which eventually will assist to reduce unwanted pregnancy, population growth and help to reach relevant Millennium Development Goals.

 What we deliver

This portal presents procurement & logistics related information in the form of Dashboard to the users. The reports are used by DGFP management to take evidence based decisions to ensure contraceptive availability throughout the country.

 Whom we deliver

The staff of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOHFW) of Bangladesh, ministry officials, donors USAID, World Bank and relevant stakeholders.

 Why is the project unique?

The project is unique in terms of data management & presentation using dashboards in the Government sector. The site acts as a data repository for the DGFP which is effective for historical data analysis in Family Planning & Health sector.

 Roadmap

Digital content improves government monitoring & assist in better service. The web portal ensures contraceptives availability in field & upazila level – which eventually will be effective for reducing unwanted pregnancy, population growth in desire level and must be assist to reach Millennium Development Goals.
