Description

The ekriti idea owes its origin to the fact that there is a big gap in the hand made products made in India and the product range that is available in the market. Numerous talented artisans, making some of the most exotic and creative products, struggle to reach to the bigger markets in India and abroad. In turn, many potential buyers are kept away from such creative products. Thus there is a scope to blend technology with art. With ekriti, we intend to provide an ecosystem providing infrastructure to sell and buy handmade products. The technology platform provides infrastructure to brand, market and sell products through SEO and social marketing techniques. The growth of ecosystem provides independent growth for Vendor Communities by providing more employment, larger sales, rising incomes, and development through trainings and social projects. These initiatives will help them easily sustain and cope up with the ever increasing inflation and would also help in keeping the traditional art forms alive and prevent them from fading away. A strong vendor base would lead to a huge product collection on the ekriti platform. This great product range will be used to cater different buyer’s segments over the internet across varied geographical locations. A part of the revenue from the sales on ekriti would go to the ‘ekriti Development Fund’ (EDF). EDF will be used for the growth of local community and in social projects like better sanitation, basic elementary education etc.

What we deliver

Artisans: They will benefit from our hands on training on product conceptualization, packing, branding and selling it at fair trade prices. If they are computer literate, they can setup their individual shops selling products at their prices else they can work with ekriti Team to sell their products through The ekriti Shop. The ekriti Shop can significantly increase the outreach of hand made products resulting in huge volumes sold online which will be difficult otherwise for Artisan to achieve on their own. Customers: They will benefit from reduced prices for items. They will have access to a variety of hand made products at a single platform. They will get quality products, better deals with a shorter turnaround time with assurance from ekriti. In case of any issues, ekriti is always there to address the concerns. Community: They will benefit and grow with Social projects ekriti invests in through ekriti Development Fund (EDF). A fixed percentage of every transaction made on ekriti contributes to the EDF. Community will grow with more employment, increase in earnings through better sales and social projects such as basic elementary education

We believe investing in setting up self immune communities can give boost to a supply chain network which will be fast and cost effective from execution point of view. Uniqueness in our model lies in the broadness of the theme which comes by integrating various ideas like: Robust Technical e-commerce Platform Product Consulting Integrated Product Range under single shed ekriti Workshops Social Projects Vendor Development through trainings and mentoring. Boosting supply chain network. Retail outlets Association with likeminded organizations for a bigger social cause
