The project is a monthly online magazine of art, politics and society. Focusing on Jammu and Kashmir and covers other important issues of India and world. It has many contributions from people who want to express themselves through writing. It gives space to young writers, poets, photographers and painters. It produces a good quality stuff every month. The magazine is widely read throughout the world and it receives a good response through social networking connections and mails also. The project is not run from any office, it is run online. Everything concerned to it is done through internet, through social networking websites and personal contacts. No advertisement so far. No advertisements on website. Run from the pocket money of the founder and help from friends and colleagues.

What do we deliver?

Magazine is run with the help of pocket money of the founder and with the help of the friends. We encourage donations; so far we have not received any. We don’t use Google ads due to our policy. We welcome advertisements. We don’t pay our contributors as we don’t have much capital to do so. We simply are not a commercial magazine; we try to come up with quality stuff in less commercialization.

Whom we deliver?

We have features, profiles, long interviews, art and culture, photo features, My story (personal stories of readers), opinion pieces from experts, fiction stories, poetry, film reviews, book reviews, literary pieces and apart from all this in our monthly magazine the website have a separate URL (blog.thekashmirwalla.com) for Daily Posts. This section is uploaded daily anytime with latest stories, opinions, news or anything which are contributed by people and the writers associated with the magazine. The target is just to create an alternative voice of people, particularly youth. To give space to the content this doesn’t get published in newspapers and magazines due to their policies. The Kashmir Walla follow only one policy, i.e. Whatever is verified truth will be published.

How is the project unique?

The magazine is unique as it the first of its type in the state. It is the only magazine (both in print and online) which works on theme basis.
