Whom we deliver
Customers of FieldMax include: IDEA Cellular, Dhathri Ayurveda, Manjilas, Nirapara, SBTC, Bayar’s Coffee, Carlsberg, Vasmo Foods, Periyar Polymers, Zebra Files and Stationeries, MARS International India, Rhine Biogenics, etc. The customer list also include distributors of products such as Nestle, Nokia, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, Britannia, Parle, Reckitt Benckiser, ELF Lubricants, etc. who have smaller sales team of less than 10 field personnel.
Why is the project unique?
One of the biggest differentiators of FieldMax over competition is that it runs on any Java/ GPRS enabled mobile hand set. Competitor products have mobile platform/ device manufacturer specific limitations, which means that in order for such an application to run, customers would need to invest on high end smart phones or PDA devices. Thus the cost for implementing the solution goes unrealistically high. In the past, such a solution was practically unavailable for SMEs, public enterprises and government entities. FieldMax and Xtend together can take the Sales operations and management fully on to the mobile domain.! Total cost of ownership is so low for SME businesses that they neither need a huge IT infrastructure, personnel nor expensive ERP system for sales automation. For developing economies such as India, where mobile penetration outpaces internet penetration by a huge margin, FieldMax presents a unique opportunity for companies to embrace sales force automation. As FieldMax runs on ordinary handsets, there is practically no investment on hardware, the training effort is low and change management becomes easy while implementing the product. For the application to function in places where mobile internet connectivity is limited (rural pockets), it has the capability to locally store the details in the phone, and later synchronize with the server when connectivity is re-established. Also, FieldMax is available on SaaS pricing, where customers have the flexibility to use the software on a pay-as-you-go model. Thus the solution has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses are being run and brings automation to link the market place directly with the enterprise. For a simple mobile based solution costing as low as INR.500-600 per user per month, FieldMax provides a substantial increase in revenue, reduction in operational expenses and improved productivity. Even though the solution is implemented for different types of customers for different industry verticals, most of the customers were able to achieve around 30% increase in productivity and 20% increase in revenues (including additional sales and cost savings). This is one of the biggest differentiators of FieldMax, in comparison with its competition.
Roadmap
With the advent of global social networks, increasing adoption of mobile devices worldwide, affordable telecommunication models and innovative payment mechanisms, Experion envisions several avenues where consumers converge to buy products and services from companies worldwide. Experion is in the forefront of building solutions that will fit such a model where individuals living in the most remote corners of the world are equipped with easy to use solutions to reach out to service providers previously untapped. Experion envisions a future market where consumers worldwide will have access a whole new world of competitive services and products. Organizations will align themselves towards adopting more mobile centric initiatives to reach out to the most powerful and personalized equipment a consumer carries with him all the time- the mobile phone. Here are a few example scenarios. 1. A farmer in Peru in a remote village posts his needs for a micro finance loan is accessed by Microfinance Companies worldwide who bid for his business. The farmer makes his EMI payments through a mobile payment gateway. 2. A producer of fruits can reduce his losses from perishable food items by reaching out to potential buyers through his mobile device locally and globally by forecasting his produce and sell his produce and reduce loss from perishables. 3. A market research company in the US can help conduct a survey in a third world country among target demographics and help the US company launch low cost alternatives to third world economy consumers (e.g. detergents, food supplements etc.). In each of the above scenarios, both the buyer as well as the seller stands to gain significantly by using the mobile platform. For developing economies and rural population this could be the first step towards automation and embracing information technology for the masses. Unlike a computer, which is less portable and needs considerable training and support, the mobile platform offers much more convenience and ease of use. As mobile usage increases and internet connectivity becomes wide spread and affordable, the case for opting for mobile based solutions increases. Today’s mobile devices are powerful enough as far as computational power and operating systems are concerned. Equipped with good quality cameras and GPS capabilities, mobile phones can scan bar coded information, update/ pull information over mobile internet, share location information with mobile applications and carry out mobile payment transactions. This has thrown open a lot of avenues, which were otherwise untapped and unexplored. Irrespective of whether it is in e-governance, supply chain management, travel & transportation, tourism & hospitality, banking or insurance, there is tremendous scope for utilizing the mobile device/ network technology for better information management. Mobile applications/ service providers can capitalize on this mega wave of change and kindle a mobile information revolution.
