As production of seeds happens majorly in field and outside the enterprise mobile based/PDA based innovation helps in seamless connectivity between field and corporate. Planners, Supervisors are more informed on a realtime basis. Spatial sense provides location sensitive information. Kg2Ton caters to the following needs of enterprises Quality data reporting, Realtime, Spatial Sense and follow-up management. Kg2Ton ensures Planning production activities and transfers information To-Do information to Production Supervisors on the field to their mobile. Kg2Ton ensures entire Seed Crop Management through the PDA, tracks important production activities, provides immediate alerts, reminders. Kg2Ton offers robust follow-up management by connecting with farmers and supervisors through SMS based alerts. Kg2Ton provides single source of information for production of an enterprise and integrates with GIS.

Why is the project unique?
Yes, this is the world’s first GIS based seed production management system for agri input industry specifically for Seeds. Production of seeds has lot of challenges primarily due to weather and other challenges like being operated across different geographies. Kg2Ton being mobile, GPS, GIS and Web based brings unique offerings to manage the production easily, mitigate production losses by monitoring critical production activities and through alerts and reminders.
