Description
Telemedicine, e-education is our main focuses. E-commerce through the Internet and local e-commerce through local network, and VoIP using SIP Protocols are our main applications. Other applications that we are using are virtual-ATM service, video conferencing and hotel booking system. Asterisks software is being used for VoIP services. For international calls, we use the IP gateway of different providers as per the rates available. Moreover, we are helping blinds people to use computers and browse the Internet.
What we deliver
• Tele-education and tele-training • Tele-medicine – Medical consultation through video conferencing using the Internet and Intranet • Communication – E-mail, web mail, Internet Telephony. • Information share – Internal Webpage, bulletin board, group discussion • E-Business – Virtual ATM services using Internet for the tourists, hotel booking in Mustang for the tourists
Why is the project unique?
Technically speaking, our project is not unique because there are people in other parts of the world using wireless technology. It is unique in the sense that we are bringing the technology in the areas where there is no roads and modern communication means.
Roadmap
My vision is simple. I want to use the wireless technologies to reach the mass of poor people living in the remote areas of Nepal. The reason we need to reach them is because those people can’t afford to come down to urban areas to live. Moreover, most of those areas are not accessible by roads and there are no health services available. Using the wireless technology, I want to provide their children quality education. I want to see them getting some health services through telemedicine. And I want to provide them cheapest possible telephone services through wireless network. Moreover, I want to provide them agriculture and farming training through the network.
