Description
Pika is a service to wake up passengers by calling them up when their train is nearing their destination. The same service can be used by hosts who want to pick up a guest from the station. Motivation: We find that nearly 80% of rail commuters are paranoid about failing to alight from the train by not waking up on time. Hence, they remain awake from several stations ahead of their destination The remaining 20% just rely on the paranoia of the other 80% Solution: We conceived a solution that wakes up passengers about 20 minutes before they reach their destination. The mobile app solution had a few shortcomings: it required people to use high-end phones and to run GPS overnight draining their battery. We worked harder and came up with a pure SMS and Voice solution, moving the complexity of tracking and prediction analytics to the cloud. Thus was our service Pika born!

Why is the project unique?
Nobody else gives such an alert, they only give response to queries. In addition, rather than mere location tracking, we have built advanced predictive analytics comparable to FlightCaster. Also, we have solved a number of connectivity and reliability issues inherent with mobile and rail networks.
