Shorthand Mobile was founded in 2007 with the vision of providing mass market mobile users with rich, graphical, interactive access to web-like content and services entirely through the ubiquitous SMS channel, eliminating the need for an internet data plan on the mobile handset. It delivers groundbreaking innovations in content and service delivery, UI, and mobile advertising to mass-market mobile phones.

What we deliver?

Any individual that can afford to buy a basic phone with Java ME CLDC 1.1/MIDP2.0/2.1 is a target customer. We merely provide the channel for the consumer to access all kind of services through SMS. Our initial launches have been in popular Internet services such as social networking and job searches.

Why is the project unique?

We have not found evidence that our product concept has been implemented in any other form. While other software products provide a graphical UI to send and receive SMS, they remain point solutions. Our application provides a means of accessing, storing and managing content across diverse sources within a single application.
