Description

SCOPE is an autonomus body established by government of Gujarat for enhancing English Language proficiency among youth and hence create better employment opportunities. The project runs into PPP model and has more than 450 training centers across state. It is the most successful project of Govt of Gujarat where all stakeholders are in profit. The BEP for a training centre is achieved by running a first batch of 10 candidates only. SCOPE is conducting online exam of international standard (Cambridge University) at such a mass scale which is unique in the world. SCOPE team goes to every nook and corner of the state with laptops and internet dongles to conduct the exam in villages, schools, colleges and tribal belt.

What do we deliver?

English language proficiency in Listening, Reading and Speaking, training, assessment and certification. Placement opportunities are also available for students who pass SCOPE exam.

How is the project unique?

International certificate at an affordable cost for member of public. – International certificate for college students at Rs. 200 (A level) and Rs. 300 (B level) – Online BULATS speaking test – Online exam CPT (Cambridge Placement Test). The test is adaptive to ensure the integrity of exam is maintained. – DELL (Digital Education and Learning Lab) setup across all colleges in state – Placement opportunity for all students who pass any level of course.

Roadmap

With inclusion of CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) in university curriculum , the reach of SCOPE has increased many folds as SCOPE courses are considered under Foundation courses of university syllabus. SCOPE is also focusing college to college visit, workshops with faculty and students and integrating its activities with other programmes of government to increase its reach and student Base. By signing MoU with GTU (Gujarat Technological University), it is now compulsory for every MBA students to pass SCOPE course in their first semester. It is envisaged that by Dec 2012, SCOPE student base would be 5,00.000 students.
