Vrixx is a feature rich, easy-to-use, cost effective web portal designed to transform the way academic institutions function. Using Vrixx a college can (a) manage all academic activities and information, to produce better students (b) automate administrative tasks to save time, money and enable informed decision making (c) bring all its members on a common online platform to forge a dynamic community • Vrixx is targeted towards Indian Higher educational institutions (above K-12) • Each college is provided a dedicated portal with logins for every user like student, faculty, parent, recruiters, staff etc. • Software As A Service(SaaS) model, thereby reducing costs as college shifts from Cap-Ex to Op-Ex The system is backed by a well defined One Step at A Time (OSAT) approach that defines processes on campus to ensure fast on-boarding, easy and parameterized adoption
What we deliver
Vrixx is platform that allows for a rich variety of content to be exchanged between the users ranging from discussions, video content, audio content, one-one messages, email integration, files or various types, questions and assessments, FAQs, assignments, polls etc. The content is peer generated, regulated and rated. It can be academic or general reading. This builds the long term knowledge capital of the institute. Apart from this syndicated content from a variety of RSS feeds is also provided to the user to keep them updated on many fronts.
Whom we deliver
Interactivity is the building block of Vrixx. Through the dedicated online portal for the institute that can be accessed from anywhere at any time by any authorized user interactivity is delivered.
Why is the project unique?
Vrixx is unique as a product because apart from the administration the academics and communication aspects make for a strong offering. Vrixx, unlike traditional “shelf-ware” legacy systems that are sold to colleges, is Software as a Service. This means lower costs for colleges, hassle free on-boarding and free product upgrades. Roadmap
In today’s day and age knowledge is the key for any progressive society. Digital medium makes it easy and fast to acquire relevant knowledge as can be seen by the massive utility of Wikipedia. My vision for Digital Content for development is an engaging and relevant material that can lead to actionable change delivered through ever evolving mediums. My feeling is that many a times the impact of digital content delivered through ICT cannot be immediately quantified or measured as improvement in quality of life or jobs of people it is reaching out to, is slow. Hence I feel focus should be availability, understandability, reliability of content and to make large portions of what is being delivered actionable.
