This Service aims to solve small but crucial Social Issues that arise in the daily life of any person, community or society. It mainly targets issues from rural to urban area that can be solved with a sum of money below NRs 1 Million. The issue can be anything from simple waste management to a medical treatment for saving a life of a person or renovating the community temple. “Small drops make the mighty ocean.” A lot of social issues remain unattended just because of unavailability of fund leading the general public to face difficulties. The idea was generated with a concept that even if small effort is made from a large number of people, a decent amount of fund can be collected and a lot of problems can be solved and the best way to reach out to mass is mobile phones. Hence SMS fund raiser and awareness campaigns is adopted with the slogan, “We for ourselves “. Only few SMS campaigns have been launched that support social causes. SMS fund raiser and awareness campaign was a first of its kind initiative in Nepal and is unique within itself in the global context.

Whom we deliver
Our service is being used by people from all walks of life including students, media personality, business person etc. For the SMS fund raiser campaign, we received SMS from all corners of the country. People of all age groups and society appreciated the campaign and contributed to it.
Why is the project unique?
This project is certainly one-of-its-kind. Firstly, the idea is original and innovative in itself. The idea is highly scientific and bears authenticity as well. Setting up committees to look for problems to be attended, scanning the impact of cost-benefit in order to attend the problem, and selecting the most prioritized issue to solve certainly was never done before at public level. Moreover, the uniqueness lies in the method of collecting fund from the public with so much of ease and in a hassle-free manner. Fundraiser via SMS is a new concept for world itself. Our project is unique as it not only enables rising of FUND by SMS, but also brings together a lot of partners to use their existing ad campaigns in order to support a cause and spread it until and unless it is solved. It serves as a new marketing concept for business houses and Ad Agencies and at the same time a new tool for Government, INGOs and other Donor Agencies. It also provides a platform to Media and Telecom Operators to fulfill their part of corporate social responsibility. With Every SMS, not only the end user gets a service, but a full info about the live fund raiser for the campaign. This encourages the user to spread the message. Also, Small contributions from mass become a big amount. With Every SMS, the product and offers of the advertiser is promoted to uplift the sales and branding of the company. The existing ads of the business Houses are utilized, and hence it helps in spreading the message also and at the same time, gives a new concept to the ad agency for advertisements.
Roadmap
Mobile phones are something that is with everyone and something that everyone carries every time. It has now become the most personal and inevitable part of any human being. As the technology is advancing and the rates are decreasing, the reach out of mobile phones is even increasing at exponential rate and in coming days it will serve as a most powerful tool to do all types on electronic communication and transaction. So, we believe that mobile technology can be used to bridge the “Digital Divide”. Earlier, there used to be categories like rich people and poor people but in coming days the categories will be; people who get info on time and people who are deprived of information. Proper communication and sharing of information is extensively important and this is where mobile technology can play an important role. There are various ways to solve a problem. The only thing that is lacking is right information at right time and the approach. Mobile phones can be extensively used to convey information and raise awareness. Various Value Added Services can be used for two way communication and facilitating a lot of services. One of the major hurdles can be illiteracy. So, one of the best solutions is localization. If apps and solutions can be provided in local language and with easy navigation steps, the technology can prove to be a boom to the general people.
