Literacy India had experienced working with children at various spaces. It was understood during the courses of operation that education with traditional method very often failed to attract children. It was also observed that drop out children and children who never been to school are afraid of books, copy and pencil. Apart from that, the children in difficult circumstances especially the children in street are suffering with fear, trauma, emotional breakdown and other psycho- social issue. Lack of concentration, non- attention and attraction toward today consumer oriented culture makes them busy to explore the adult world. These children have already lost their childhood. Even if these children are mainstreamed in academic courses they are losing interest as well as motivation. In that pretext, Literacy India Started Digital Literacy Program. It is an interactive educational program through Information Technology. It follows the synthesis of hybrid model of Science learning Cycles( Pigetian science model) and Experiential Learning Cycle model( Kolb experiential model) It provides cycle of four phases a) Translating b) Sculpting c) operational sing and d) Integrating. It uses the technological method of animated version of storytelling, interactive session with songs, games and other learning exercises. The entire courses are based on fun and joy. Children in course of games and play are going to cover the academic courses. This complete package is up to primary level.

What do we deliver?

Project Gyantantra – comprehensive educational package along with primary level educational curriculum provides interactive and interesting excitement for kids. The animated character, Voice over’s, illustrations and whole presentation presents a unique way to learn and prepare up to primary level class. How is the project unique?

It is unique both from the point of view of receptivity among children and uniqueness of characters in content and methods.


We are aiming at PAN India presence. Literacy India has targeted Pan India presence to reach each corner of the country and follow each one teach one model with the support of volunteers, voluntary organization and NGO partnership. Literacy India aims to provide training for maximizing teacher effectiveness to show significant, measurable gains in student achievement with support of this project continuous improvisation.
